Hello! My name is Stephanie D. Farrer, a Licensed Massage Therapist in Sebring, Florida. I want to thank you for stopping by my site, Sebring Massage Therapy.com!
I believe that virtually everyone can benefit from relaxation and therapeutic massage therapy. Of course, it will help you relax, unwind, reduce pain, and improve circulatory system function—but are you aware that it also enhances the function of the lymphatic system?
Massage therapy techniques can stimulate the flow of lympatic fluid and increase production of cells that fight and ward off disease within the body's immune system, so massage directly influences and helps us defend against disease.
Many individuals cope with pain and discomfort in their daily lives. Massage therapy (as well as Cranial Release), when combined together, may help reduce the feeling of pain. Massage techniques help release endorphins and lactic acid trapped in muscle tissue and in the fascia surrounding all muscle tissues in the body. These techniques also increase venous flow, which sends more blood to the tissues. This is particularly essential for conditions such as Fibromyalgia, in which
the body produces lactic acid continuously—which embeds itself within the muscles and creates trigger points. People struggling with headaches/migraines, neck/shoulder/back pain, and many other health problems can usually benefit greatly from massage therapy, especially when the Licensed Massage Therapist performs neuromuscular, or trigger point, therapy.
Sports athletes and physically active people also can greatly benefit from massage therapy, since it helps them train and or perform longer with less chance of injury. Massaging strokes simulate the contraction and relaxation of muscles, helping them obtain greater tonicity.Numerous professional sports athletes, such as Lance Armstrong, have added massage therapy treatments to their training programs.
It is my hope that through education, training, and the practice of massage therapy techniques more people will begin to feel much needed relief and enhanced well-being. My work is truly my passion, and it is my intention to share it with as many patients and clients as I can, so I may make a difference within their lives. I have seen personally how massage can change lives, as I became a massage therapist after recovering from a serious back injury with the help of a skilled therapist. That
experience has motivated me into the practitioner that I have become, and I empathize with anyone who is affected with chronic pain and illness.
At my office, I offer many different types of integrated, customized massages for the individual client/patient. I am licensed and/or certified in and also have experience performing: Relaxation (Swedish) massage, Therapeutic (Deep Tissue) massage, Hot Stone massage,
and Medical Massage Therapy. I hold both my Florida State and National licenses. I am the only Cranial Release Practitioner in Highlands County. I am also the current 1st Vice President of the Heart of Florida Chapter of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association, and I serve as their webmaster. I am able to bill many auto insurance companies for patients recovering from auto accidents—with a physician’s diagnosis and prescription. I am also a vendor for Vocational Rehabilitation through the Florida Department of Education. Many patients with private health care benefits can receive reimbursement for Medical Massage Therapy. Please feel free to contact me for further information regarding health care coverage for Medical Massage Therapy–or with any other questions you might have!
My office is located at 813 US 27 South in Sebring FL, just south of Sonny’s BBQ. I look forward to working with you!
